DAY 1:
It all started Saturday with a surprise trip to Orlando to Downtown Disney. The Coots' had a been there recently and told us about a little place called...........
THE LEGO STORE
Or as it is known to Cody, LegoLand! On a side note, they actually are building a lego land theme park at the old Cypress Gardens property. Spossed to open next year....
Anyhoo, he didn't know why we were going there. This is his face when he see the front of the store:
He immediately wanted to go inside and see everything!
He got to build a set of lego people out of random heads, torsos, legs, hats, & accessories.

Then we took pictures of life sized Lego Creations. A sea monster, robot/transformer, & Sheriff Woody
Then we gave Cody 2 cups (and brother 1 cup) to fill with as many lego parts as he could pack in there.
When you get a Lego VIP card, they swipe it with each purchase, and you earn points. Every $100 spent earns you a $5 credit. Well, Cody earned his first $5 that day.

Then went came back to Ocala. My girlfriends Cheryl and Jo, (Cheryl's daughter, Brittany) came into Ocala for Cheryl's birthday. Our town had a 30 year anniversary of Grease, so it was re-released in theatres, with the words on the screen to Sing-A-Long. Think karaoke. But with people dressed in costumes, singing and dancing in the aisles. Jo's husband, Stu drove into town with their son Logan, and met Justin and my boys at Chuck E. Cheese for pizza & fun, while us girls saw the movie. Everyone had fun, we went home, and Logan spent the night at our house.
DAY 2:
Now for the 'real' Birthday Party. The day started off raining, but that didn't stop these boys from jumping in the pool. Around lunch time the rest of the Dunnellicans showed up for hamburgers, hot dogs, cake, and ice cream.

And then the Presents!
all lego related of course! Grandma Ada sent him a dollar in his brithday card, which he is saving towards more legos, or a PSP. He got a Books-A-Million girft card from Nana & Papa Ostermiller. And then from Choo-Choo Papa (my dad) he got 2 rare coins. The first is a Morgan silver dollar, minted only one year, in 1925. The second is a like new shiny silver dollar from 1886. All in all, a good days' load!
DAY 3:
Last but certainly not least... on Coco's actual birthday, we let him pick where to eat. He wanted to "Eat Fresh", so he chose Subway. Then we went to see Despicable Me. Sweet, Tender, Heartwarming. At the end the evil villain calls all his minions by name, and kisses them goodnight. Cody asked how he could tell them apart. With a tear in my eye I said, "A daddy just knows". Then to wrap it up, we went to Cold Stone for ice cream. However, Cody, had the nerve to be pouty about it. He actually wanted to go to a local shop called Ariel's. But they were closed by the time the movie was over. Sometimes the more you give them, the less they appreiciate. Luckily we have a whole year to recover before the next birthday. Oh no, next year, he gets baptized. Someone, quick, Freeze Time.... or find me another baby!

Love that lego cake! That is a great idea. I can see that cake in Enoch's future. Happy birthday, Cody! I remember when you were a tiny (yet huge:)) baby.
